I went to watch the movie at Alliance Franciase Theatre this afternoon and I was really satisfied in the movie though I felt some parts were pretty lame and dissapointing. Here are the pros and cons.
Pros:
-Some of the scenes were humourous and entertaining.
-Zabanya was really cool with its random fire with the GN Rifle Bits (sort of a dragoon effect)
-Harute didn’t fail to impress being my favourtie suit out of the four.
-Raphael made an impressive appearance saving Setsuna from those ELS.
-Graham in his Brave was really brave helping Setsuna out so that Setsuna could enter the dialogue.
-Raphael’s backpack is a Gundam as expected.
-00 Quanta’s GN Buster Sword used as Raiser Sword was quite cool.
-00 Raiser made an appearance with GN Condensers but was sort of owned by ELS.
-Both the Brave and GN-X IV cab go Trans-Am.
-The ELS can take the shape of practically anything.
-Dynames also made an appearance saving Alleujah from the ELS.
-Billy’s new girlfriend is cute and sort of forcing herself on Billy.
-Milenia reveals her affection for Tieria though Tieria seems to be indifferent.
-Gadelaza is quite impressive with those GN Fangs.
-Patirck almost died but lucky saved by Setsuna allowing him to save his reputation as “Immortal Colasour”.
-Setsuna’s customised GN Flag wad impressive by defeating some GN-X IVs.
-The Quantum System of the 00 Quanta is quite cool with the whole suit going green.
-The opening theme was great which is Closed World by The Back Horn.
-Overall, the plot was cool with fighting for peace as the main idea.
Despite so many pros there are many cons too
Cons:
-The first part was really draggy with things mainly on the politics.
-The second part is too quick which wad rushed in with “A few days later”. They could have showed the preparations for the battle against the ELS.
-Many people died.
-Graham died.
-Andrei died. I wanted him to die in Season 2 but after that I didn’t want him too after seeing him say wanting to continue his parents which is Sergei on saving mankind.
-Saji doesn’t really do anything in the movie.
-I wanted Lasse to join the final battle by piloing Dynames but all he did was stay on the ship.
-Decartes Shamen was sort of an extra in the movie with him being killed and the Gadelaza being destroyed by the ELS. I guess everyone was expecting him to go for a faceoff against Setsuna in the final part. So much for the main antagonist.
-The ending maybe be a happy and peaceful one but I doesn’t explain the whole thing.
-The Ribbons Almark identical was actually just an ELS.
- 00 Quanta only appeared in the final part with Setsuna trying to get into the Dialogue leaving Harute and Zabanya to do all the dirty work.
-Tieria didn’t fight in the final battle.
-I felt that Veda was not as important as it used to be during Season 1 and 2.
- Raphael was destroyed during its second appearance.
- The backpack gundam for Raphael has a lame name called Seravee. LOL.
- The 40% of the pouplation which are innovators are going into deep space to explore or somthing. But the ship has a funny name called “Sumeragi”.
- The final scene with Marina and a greyish haired but young looking Setsuna hugging each other is lame to me and it doesn’t explain much.
Basically, that’s all for the pros and cons.
The were also some mechandise being sold but most were expensive and not worth it such as the cushion for $29.90, 3D poster for $32.90 and a paper bag for $9.90. To me, the only thing worth it was the HG 00 Qan[T] clear version which I bought and I heard from the salesperson that there’s only 50 of it.
As it’s the clear version, the parts are clear obviously.
Anyway, this movie is well worth the $12 and every Gundam fan should go and watch it. We got to watch it the same day as in Japan and we also have English subtitles. It screens till the 29th so go an book your tickets now.
