HGUC Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode) – Completed

Here’s the unicorn in its destroy mode which I completed last week. The unicorn transforms into destroy mode when its NT-D (Newtype-Destroyer) system is activated. One cool thing about this suit is that it can be piloted by thought alone. ^^ The kit is just as good too though it doesn’t come with so much weapons.

Anyway, moving on wtih the kit.

Now lets see this guy in action.

Beam Magnum

The beam magnum is the only weapon of the kit as this kit doesn’t come with the beams for the beam saber but I borrowed it from the unicorn mode. I feel that the design of it is too long.

Beam Tonfa

The beam tonfas are my favourite weapon of all for this guy. Reminds me of Justice Gundam with the Meteor Unit docked on which is uber cool.

Beam Saber

No problem grabbing the beam saber

As the bemas were borrowe fom the unicorn mode, the pink is different from the psychoframe of the kit. I would have prefered the pink to be the same as the psychoframe.

I bent one of the beams into a curve to make it look like the beam saber in the unicorn’s SD counterpart and I prefer it to the original beam saber. ^^

Shield

With the “x” psychoframe revealed on the shield it sure looks much better than the unicorn mode shield.

A comparison between the unicorn and destroy mode. Though the 2m difference is scaled down 144 times, there’s still a significant difference in height.

That’s all for this kit.

Here are my thoughts on the kit:

Pros: Destroy mode is much more cooler than unicorn mode

Psychoframe is awesome

Design is much nicer than unicorn mode

Cons: Lesser weapons than unicorn mode

More loose joints than unicorn mode

Anyway, this kit is an awesome one. If you have the unicorn mode, getting the destroy mode wil be a great add-on to your collection.
