Just a short post on the diorama which I just completed. The deadline for submission is on Monday and I’ll be at Malacca that day so I will submit it tomorrow. Anyways, here’s the diorama which isn’t very well done D= but ok to me considering its my first time. =D

The board looks a bit err… stupid?

Anyway, that’s the diorama I spent a lot of effort in making. And a very big thank you to tzees for teaching me the stuff for the base. Thanks. Do ckeck out his diorama too.

That’s all for this post.

More Loot

24 05 2010

Went down to the hobby point at suntec today as I couln’t resist the sales going on. Got some stuff there too as planned.

HGUC Z’gok Experiment

Box art, 3 packs of runners and instruction manual

Awesome picture of the suit

Mr Aqueous Hobby Color 9 Gold

Another aqueous hobby gold. I still don’t know what is the difference so I just bought it to try it out.

Mr Hobby Flat Top Coat

Finally found one after so long. When I used semi-gloss, there were so many flat ones available. When I want to use the flat one, so little available.

Others

Mr Hobby Mr Dissolved Putty and Gundam Marker 01 Black(Fine)

Well. That’s all for this post.

Till the next post!

HGUC Full Armor Gundam 7th – Get

22 05 2010

Got this kit at hobby point on thursday. there is a 20% discont for all the kits at their original prices. Since my exams were over, I went down there to take a look.

HGUC Full Armor Gundam 7th

Box Art, 3 packs of runners and instruction manual

Awesome design of the dorsal cannon and shield. The cannon is one of my favourites but not as nice as throne Eins GN Lanucher.

Also got myself a tamiya flat brush.

Seeing the coolness of this kit, I gave in to temptation and snap-fitted him this morning.

Looks like he doesn’t have to wait s long to be completed.

He’ll be up real soon.

That’s all for this post.

Till the next post!

HGUC Zaku II F2 E.F.S.F. Version- Completed

19 05 2010

As promised, this kit will be up by this week. The exams are over and thus I will have more time on gunpla and there will be more posts here.

Let’s move on to the kit.

Front View

Rear View

Now moving on to the parts

Head

There are three types of helmet and my favourite is the last one. The eye piece can also turn.

Torso+Waist

Very little articulation for the waist even though there is a waist joint. This is due to the pipes being secured by two clips on the side skirts resulting in little articulation for the front and side skirts.

Arms

The elbows can bend up to 90 degrees ant the shoulders are a little stiff. However the decals on the shoulders are nice but I didn’t stick them on properly.

Legs

Due to the limited articulation in the front and side skirts, the feet articulation is also pretty limited.

Backpack

Really simple and nice design. Actually thought of painting the thrusters but decided not to to keep its simplicity.

Now onto the weapons.

Zaku Machine Gun

`

My favourite weapon of all the weapons in this kit. It also comes with an extra ammo round which can be attached onto the back or side skirts.

Machine Gun

This weapon looks quite nice with the F2 although I still prefer the Zaku Machine Gun.

Heat Hawk

Nothing much for this weapon jus an axe. It can also be attached to the side skirts.

Hand Grenade

Also nothing much for this weapons. Can also be attached on the side skirts.

Triple Missle Pod

Another nice weapon which i attached on the legs although it doesn’t stay onto the legs tightly.

Now that we’re done with the kit, it’s time for my thoughts on it.

Articulation- 70 Limted articulation especially on the waist which causes a lot of limiations on the legs.

Building-  80 Simple kit to build and the joints are quite solid.

Simplicity- 85 Nothing much that must be painted. Just the panel lines make it look nice already.

Design- 75 Simple design and colour scheme is pretty clean and nice.

Gimmicks- 82- Just the two machine guns were good enough although I was hoping for a Zaku Bazooka initially.

Overall- 78 A nice and simple kit which you should get if you do not want to paint. Or else giving this kit a miss won’t harm unless you are a Startdust Memory or Zaku fan. Whether to get the Zeon or E.F.S.F. Version depends on your own preference.

That’s all for this post.

Till the next post.

Upcoming Plans

17 05 2010

It’s been a while since I last posted due to the MYEs. They are almost over and the last two papers are easy so I have the time to post.

I haven’t been working on much kits during this period of time except for one.

HGUC HGUC Zaku II F2 E.F.S.F. Version

He’s almost done just some painting on the heat hawk and missle pods and he’s done. I promise he’ll be up before next week.

So due to my large amount of uncompleted kits, I have made a plan called the “Do more buy less”plan.

I will try to complete 6 kits before the holidays begin and complete as many and buy less than 10 kits in the holidays.

I have alredy thought of the six kits to be completed they are HGUC Zaku II F2 E.F.S.F. Version, SD Freedom Gundam, SD Shin Ryuubi Gundam, HG Tieren Ground Type and two more kits which I am not sure yet and not to forget my target practice diorama.

In the holidays, I hope I will be able to complete my NG 1/100 00 Raiser and MG Unicorn Ver. Ka.

My current buying plan for the holidays is HG 1.5 Gundam, HG Gundam Astrea Type-F, HGFC God Gundam, HG Gundam Avalanche Exia, SD Totaku Zaku, one MG (F91, Strike E + IWSP or MK-II Ver 2.0 are my current choices) and maybe HGUC ZZ Gundam. I’m also thinking of getting two more HGs.

That’s all for this post.

Be sure to check out the review of the F2 this week.
