Loots After A Long Hiatus

So after a long break from gunpla, I definitely stopped buying for a while.

But once I got back to doing them, I couldn’t stop buying more (not as bad till that extent :X)

First, I got the HG Gundam Age-1 Normal at $18 at AFA. No pics of it thou :/

Total Sum: $18 (still okay)

Next, it was the Gundam Expo. Had to get things there!

First round

HG Genoace, SD Kshatriya!

Also the Gundam Epyon and Deathascythe Hell clear folder and other free flyers!

Total Sum: $56 (still not bad)

Second Round

HG Gundam Age-1 Titus, HGUC GM Cannon II and SD God Gundam

Total Sum: about $110++ (it’s getting bad)

Third and Final Round

RG Freedom Gundam.

Got this while helping my friend buy RG ZAku II Mass Production Type with a free 1/144 Hangar Base.

Total Sum : $150++ that’s bad:/

So no more kits after this round for me.

But a few hours later,

The package from HLJ arrived!

So excited when I got this and immediately opened it up with my hobby knife ^^.

You guys must be thinking why the invoice does not reflect with all the kit shown. That’s because the rest are for my friend. Saves cost to order together ^^

Got for him Robot Damashii Unicorn Gundam Unicorn Mode, HGUC GM x2, HGUC Zaku II FZ Kai, HG Susanowo Trans-Am.

Total Cost: $270+ :/.

Before we talk about the spending, let’s talk about HLJ.

The service is really good with the customer service replying to all my emails even though I sent them so many questions.

This order took 8 days to arrive which is considered fast for SAL.

The way they arrange the kits is really smart as to save shipping costs.

Don’t be fooled by the individual shipping cost as the shipping cost would eventually be 20-40% of the total of the individual costs. Mine was 50% ^^

I think I would make another order during Christmas where they would be a sale ^6

You guys should order from there as well!

Anyway, I’ve spent too much so no more spending till next year.

Next year, wont be doing much due to O levels anyway.

Perhaps another HLJ order for next year

HG Gundam Age-1 Titus – Completed

So here’s a completed kit posted here after a long hiatus. Got this last week at Gunpla Expo and completed it staright after I got home.

Let’s get right into it now!

This kit comes with 2 beam lariat effect parts which is really nice. Good for those bashing up poses.

I didn’t really think well of it at first but after playing around with it I found it to be very nice!

This kit also comes with the beam spike effect parts (14 of them I think). The effect is nice but I felt that it is actually a little hard to put them in. Another problem is that they keep falling off. Still it can bring out many poses will the spikes shooting out from the shoulders and knees.

Overall, I think this is a very nice kit which is better and has a more unique feeling than the Age-1 Normal. Bulky looking but sure packs a punch. Unlike regular MS designs we see. The colours are very nicely down only the chest and the forehead and insides of the front skirts need to be painted.

If you are thinking of geting an HG Age kit, this one is a totally good one to go for. For a cheap price at $25.95 but with good mobility and gimmicks. ^^

For those who watched the recent epsidoe 7 of Gundam Age would have seen how Titus game the Baqto and sweet punch! Hope to see it in action in Episode 8.

Back In Action?

I know it has been a long long while since I last updated due to the hectic life in school and also lack of motivation and time to post.

But now it’s the HOLIDAYS!

So I’m considering to continue this blog.

I don’t know when I might atop or even continue from here.

Even if I continue, it’ll be till the end of the year at most ^^

Because next year is O Levels.

HGAW Gundam X Divider – Get

I went to the Bandai Model Kit World Cup Prize Presentation today along with many other friends, Desmond, Daren, Craig, Zhi Sheng, Zhi Xian, Zhi Jian, Luther, Chun Da and Aaron today.

There were many people there and I kind of felt that the place was kind of small but it was still great.

There was also the display of kits which would be released.

Last but not least, group champion and bandai model kit world cup champion. ^^

There was also a lucky draw with kits like MG Rezel Commander Type, MG 00 Qan[T] and PG Strike Freedom. The PG Strike Freedom was won by a small kid in the lucky draw.

Anyway, after that we went down to Sunshine Plaza to go to Hobby Art Gallery and M Workshop since it was nearby.

Both shops were really crowded as many people from the prize presentation went there.

Here’s what I got

HGAW Gundam X Divider, Action Base 2 Black and Gundam Black Fine Marker from HAG, Tamiya Enamel X-24 Clear Yellow and X-31 Titanium Gold from M Workshop. There was also a free door gift which is the blue thing during the prize presentation.

I was really happy today with my friends and I hope to have more of these events. ^^

First Loot of 2011

2010 is already over and it’s time to continue with life in 2011.

So I went down to hobby point on Monday to pick up my second copy of Hobby Japan February 2011 with GN Sword IV Full Saber and also get my friend the SD Gogg, Acguy and Zock set.

Its the SD Stargazer Gundam.

I had been always looking for this kit and I immediately grabbed it without thinking.

I also wanted the HG Brave and Raphael but to not spend so much I forgoed them.

3 runners, 1 polycap tree, instruction manual, sticker sheet and box art

The clear green parts for the Voiture Lumiere ring looks great.

I’ve already snap fitted this guy and played around with it while doing my homework and I really like it.

Now, I’m thinking what would be best to paint the gold trims of this guy. Currently, I’m thinking of a silver base and a clear yellow coat or just  with mr hobby aqueous gold . What do you guys think?

I’ll try to start painting it this weekend and complete it as soon as possible.

The new school year is much busier (Even this post is done while using the computer for homework!) but I will try to do as much as possible.

Hobby Japan February 2011 + GN Sword IV Full Saber – Get

I just went to Kinokuniya at Takashimaya to get the February issue of Hobby Japan which comes together with the GN Sword IV Full Saber.

I was kind of worried that it would be out of stock as chubbybots said the one at Bugis had not much left, but to my surprise, there were about 20+ copies there.

I got three copies, one for me and two for my friends, turdytoddler and my neighbour Daren.

It costs $38.90 but I was a member so I had a 10% discount

The full saber is really nicer as I comes not only with blue but also clear green parts. ^^

The magazine shows off the Full Saber very well with kits like the Beginning and 0 Gundam.

Well, I am already excited to build this add on onto my 00 Qan[T} and on many other kits.

I also have one reserved at Hobby Point and I’ll be using that for playing around with the other kits.

There are still many copies around so get them as soon as possible.

Final Loot of 2010!

2010 is drawing to a close with Christmas just gone.

And to wrap up the year, I got a kit. And what kit could be better than Setsuna’s lead MS in the movie Gundam 00 A Wakening of the Trailblazer.

SD 00 Qan[T]

I was at Popular getting stationery and books and my mu m had the 20% voucher so I decided to get this as a final kit of the year.

There was also the HG Beacguy, HGAW Gundam X Divider and SD Gurenou SouSou + Tengokugai which I wanted but I only got this as I wanted to save up for other stuff next year. ^^

The clear green pieces look really good such as the central piece on the chest with the 00Q writing on it and the eyes too. However, there are only four green pieces for the GN Sword Bits with two of them being joint  I think.

The display stand is also really nice. ^^

For this month, I’ve being doing lots of kits but most of them aren’t completed yet. Hopefully, I complete them being school starts. xD
